October begins

Juanite was here briefly, when Michelle arrived to drive Danny to school. She has begun taking a step or two, then sitting down. She will gladly walk, holding on to someone with a single hand for balance.

She also likes to pound on the keyboard, and play with the mouse. Cords and wires fascinate her - she will grab on and jank to anything. Naturally, we are a well-wired house (computers, phone, scanner, printers, etc.), and so can't just put up the few items that she is attracted to. We are hoping that with sufficient repetition, she will learn that pulling on the cords and wires is a no-no. We hope.

Juanita's favorite playtoy is the cable modem - the lights, the blinking - how cool! She wants it desparately, and is always scheming to sneak in and grab it when we aren't watching.
